The Slammin’ Salmon
Cleon “Slammin’” Salmon, a former heavyweight champion, is now the owner of a Miami restaurant. He starts a ridiculous competition to see which waiter can earn the most money in one night. The winner gets $10,000 while the loser gets a beating from the former champion. This is purely a comedy. Personally, I didn’t like it, but I can see how some people may enjoy its sheer absurdity.
Dante’s Inferno (Animated)
Dante’s Inferno (Animated) is a film that brings to life Dante Alighieri’s journey through the infamous Inferno. The cool thing about this film is that it’s narrated in primitive Italian in Dante’s own words. English and Spanish are also narrative options for those who don’t speak the language. Virgil guides Dante through each circle of Hell. He witnesses each and every stage until they reach the very center of the Earth. It is not graphic. Both adults and kids can enjoy this movie.
Prison Break
This TV series combines action, thriller, drama, and suspense in one. Because of a conspiracy, Michael Scofield’s brother, Lincoln, is sentenced to death. Knowing that Lincoln is innocent, Scofield comes up with an elaborate plan to release him. In other words, he deliberately gets sentenced to the same prison himself so that they can escape from prison together. It’s intense. It’s mind-boggling. The plan is just ingenious. You will never guess what happens or what’s going on in Scofield’s mind. I would give it a look. If you’re in action, crimes, or drama, you will love this series.
